The UK Prime Minister is expected to urge supporting countries to provide Ukrainian forces with additional long-range missiles to hit Russian targets during discussions in London on Friday.

Britain's leader is set to welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside the so-called "group of committed partners", consisting of more than 20 of Kyiv's partners who have pledged to provide the Ukrainian government defense assurances once hostilities pause is negotiated.

Ukraine's president has been pleading for several weeks for further extended-range systems from allied countries, a step that Russia has stated would escalate the conflict.

President Zelensky is coming from the EU capital, where he held talks with European representatives on the previous day requesting funding aid.

"The only person engaged in this conflict who declines to halt the fighting is Vladimir Putin," Starmer remarked.

The Prime Minister will also declare that 100 additional air defence missiles will be supplied to Kyiv ahead of schedule, as outlined in a multi-billion pound agreement struck between the United Kingdom and Ukraine in last spring.

Sir Keir will urge participants to increase the delivery of long-range weapons following an effective attack on a chemical plant in Bryansk, Russia, using Britain-delivered missile systems.

"And his brutal strikes on young children in a nursery in recent days make that perfectly obvious," he added.

Several minors were among no fewer than seven fatally wounded in multiple Russian strikes on Ukraine, which targeted a daycare center in the second biggest city the eastern city.

Financial Discussions

The Prime Minister will confer with partner nations on methods to take Russia's petroleum resources from international trade.

Delegates will furthermore examine utilizing seized Moscow funds to supply Kyiv with financial loans, though the initiative faced insufficient agreement and regulatory obstacles at the Brussels summit on the previous day.

European nations stopped short of agreeing a plan to use up to €140bn in seized Russian resources to monetarily assist the Ukrainian economy.

Nonetheless, the leaders decided to assist with the country's "financial needs" for the upcoming biennium.

America also disclosed sanctions on recently against Moscow's two largest petroleum firms, the state-owned company and Lukoil, as element of actions to apply economic pressure on Russia to commence hostility discussions.

The Russian government began its comprehensive attack of the country in February 2022. Russian troops currently controls about one-fifth of the country's land, including the southern region Moscow annexed in several years ago.
